Terms of Service

These terms
These terms apply when you use this website and when you hire HVAC Specialists of Scottsdale to perform work. By using the site or authorizing work, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or engage our services.
Website content is information, not a quote
Price ranges, timelines and general guidance on this site describe typical Valley work. They are not a quote, a contract price or a guarantee. A binding price exists only in a written estimate we prepare for your specific address and equipment, and only once you approve it.
Articles on this site explain common problems in general terms. They are not a diagnosis of your system and do not replace an on-site evaluation. Do not attempt repairs on gas appliances, electrical panels or refrigerant systems based on website content alone.
Estimates and authorization
- Written estimates are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise on the estimate.
- Work begins only after you approve the written price.
- The diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair you approve.
- If conditions found on site differ from what the estimate assumed, work stops and you receive a revised price before anything continues.
Payment
Residential repair work is due on completion unless we agree otherwise in writing. Larger projects may be scheduled with a deposit and progress payments stated on the estimate. Financing, when used, is provided by a third-party lender under that lender's terms, and we are not a party to your loan agreement.
Warranties
Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, registered in your name at installation. Our workmanship warranty covers the installation itself for the period stated on your invoice. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, neglect, missed maintenance, power surges, flooding, rodent damage or work performed by others on our installation.
Scheduling and access
Arrival windows are estimates, and emergency work is prioritized over scheduled maintenance. You agree to provide safe access to the equipment, including attic, roof or crawlspace access where relevant, and to secure pets and remove valuables from the work area. If a technician cannot safely reach the equipment, the visit may be treated as a completed service call.
Refrigerant, gas and electrical work
Refrigerant handling is performed by EPA 608 certified technicians. Gas line and electrical work is performed under Arizona ROC licence # 123456 and, where required, with a permit and inspection. We do not perform work that would violate code or manufacturer instructions, even if requested.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Arizona law, our liability arising from work we perform is limited to the amount you paid for that work, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost rent, spoiled food or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have under Arizona consumer protection law.
Cancellations
Scheduled appointments may be cancelled at no charge with reasonable notice, and we ask for at least two hours so the slot can be offered to another household. Emergency dispatch after a crew has been sent may be billed as a service call.
Disputes
If something is not right, call (602) 555-1234 and ask for the service manager before pursuing other remedies. We work to resolve concerns directly. Disputes that cannot be resolved are handled under Arizona law and, where applicable, through the Arizona Registrar of Contractors complaint process.
