When a tree is too big, too close, or too risky to drop, we bring in the 60-ton crane. The boom reaches over the house, the rigging crew ties on, and every section is lifted away instead of dropped.
What crane removal involves
A crane removal is a coordinated lift, not a chain-saw free-for-all. Our certified crane operator positions the truck on outrigger pads, the climber ties the tree off in sections, and the crane takes each piece - trunk sections that can weigh several tons - straight over the roof or fence to the landing zone in the driveway or street.
Because the load is lifted rather than dropped, crane work is the safest method available for large trees and the method that causes the least damage to the ground below. No trenches from falling trunks, no bounce-off-the-roof surprises, no chain link fence to rebuild.

Safety & equipment
Our crane is a fully inspected 60-ton hydraulic unit with rated load charts for every configuration. Rigging is done with certified slings, shackles and blocks, and every lift follows a written plan: load weight, boom angle, radius, and exclusion zone. Nobody stands under a suspended load - that is a hard rule on every job.
Crane jobs need clearance for the boom and room for outriggers. We confirm both during the free estimate - if your yard cannot take a crane, we will tell you straight and quote the rigging method instead.
How the job runs
- Site survey. We measure access, clearance, lean and load weights, and set the crane position.
- Setup. Outrigger pads down, protective mats laid, exclusion zone taped, crew briefed.
- The lift. Climbers cut sections; the crane lifts each one over the obstruction to the landing zone.
- Feed the chipper. Wood and brush go through the chipper on site or get hauled away.
- Cleanup. Raked, blown and swept. Add stump grinding to finish the job completely.
